The International Dance Organization (IDO), is a non profit World Dance- and Dancesport Federation consisting of OVER 90 member and contact NATIONS, representing more than 500,000 DANCERS, from all SIX CONTINENTS.

Do you want to DANCE WITH THE BEST, and participate in the Championship and World Cup events, then contact your National Federation for information on its qualifying events.

IDO Disciplines

Performing Arts

Tap Dance and Show Dance are two IDO disciplines, that are already classic IDO dances, always spectacular and entertaining both stemming from a long tradition. Newer on the horizon are such dances as Jazz Dance, Modern Dance and Oriental dances.

Street Dance

These are the IDO dances which are at the moment extremely popular amongst young people around the world. Dances like HipHop, Disco, Popping and Breaking are not only popular on the competition floor, but also in discotheques and other places of entertainment too.

Couple Dances

Some of these dances are traditional favorites all over the world. Salsa and Argentine Tango have probably some of the largest dance communities in the world today. Bachata, Merengue, Latin and Caribbean Show as well as Disco Fox/Disco Swing are other popular dances.
