IDO Dancers Commission Holds Online Meeting to Review 2025 and Set Priorities for 2026

The IDO Dancers Commission held an online meeting on January 21, 2026, bringing together five of the seven commission members for a structured review of activities and future planning.

During the meeting, led by Hana Svehlova, IDO Vice President, the Commission evaluated IDO events and activities in 2025, including online and live Dance Committee meetings, Presidium-related sessions, dancers’ forums, and other IDO initiatives. Members highlighted the positive development of communication channels and noted continued improvements in event organization and social media presence throughout the year.

Looking ahead to 2026, the Dancers Commission confirmed its commitment to a more active and visible role within IDO. The agreed priorities include:

• Regular attendance at Dance Committee meetings across departments

• Participation in other IDO meetings when invited, including the Presidium Meeting (PM) and Annual General Assembly (AGA)

• Support in organizing and running Dancers Forums during IDO World Championships

• Strengthening direct contact with the dance community

• Assistance in other IDO activities and initiatives

• Contribution to the preparation of proposals aimed at further improving dancer representation and event quality

The meeting reaffirmed the importance of open communication between dancers and IDO structures, ensuring that feedback, ideas, and proposals from the dance community continue to play an active role in shaping IDO’s future.

The IDO Dancers Commission will continue its work throughout 2026, supporting IDO’s development and maintaining close cooperation with dancers, organizers, and IDO leadership worldwide.
