International Dance Organization Holds Online Presidium Meeting (January 21–22, 2026)
The International Dance Organization (IDO) held an online Presidium meeting on January 21–22, 2026, gathering Executive Presidium members, Vice Presidents, Continental Conference Chairpersons, and advisors to discuss key organizational matters and future priorities.
The meeting addressed governance, safeguarding, education, competition structures, digital development, and long-term planning, with a strong focus on sustaining the organization’s global growth and improving internal coordination across all continents.
Reflecting on the past season, Velibor Srdić, IDO President, emphasized the exceptional progress achieved in 2025:
“The year 2025 was extremely successful for IDO, marked by rapid growth across events, participation, and global reach. This development clearly shows that IDO now requires proper and structured strategic planning to ensure sustainable progress in the years ahead.”
During the meeting, the Presidium underlined the importance of aligning this growth with long-term objectives through the upcoming IDO Strategy Plan 2027–2032, alongside continued investments in safeguarding, education, competition quality, and organizational standards.
Looking ahead, the President also highlighted that 2026 will be a year of innovation, announcing that IDO will introduce new features and initiatives:
“In 2026, IDO will introduce new features that will positively impact the dance community. Both dancers and National Member Organizations can expect developments that will come as a very pleasant surprise.”
The outcomes of the meeting will guide Presidium decisions and operational planning throughout 2026, reinforcing IDO’s commitment to transparent governance, athlete protection, and sustainable global development.
