THE COUNTDOWN IS ALMOST OVER. THE WORLD'S BEST ARE READY. AND KIELCE IS ABOUT TO MAKE HISTORY!

From 17 to 24 October 2026, the eyes of the international dance community will turn to Kielce, Poland, as the city welcomes the IDO World Championships in Hip Hop, Popping, Hip Hop Battles and Breaking.

With approximately 4,000 dancers representing 34 countries, eight days of world-class competition and an anticipated audience of more than 20,000 spectators, Kielce is preparing to become one of the most exciting international dance destinations of the year.

The prestigious Hala Legionów will transform into an arena of extraordinary talent, spectacular performances, breathtaking battles and unforgettable emotions as the world's leading dancers compete for the ultimate recognition: IDO World Championship titles.

A WORLD-CLASS EVENT WITH GLOBAL IMPACT

The magnitude of the upcoming championships was presented during an official press conference at the Binkowski Hotel in Kielce, attended by representatives of regional and municipal authorities, event organizers and members of the Polish national dance team.

The championships represent far more than an international sporting competition. They are a celebration of youth, creativity, athletic excellence and the universal language of dance.

For eight days, Kielce will welcome thousands of dancers, coaches, supporters and visitors, creating a unique international atmosphere throughout the city.

Renata Janik, Marshal of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, emphasized the importance of the championships for the region, highlighting their role in promoting Kielce and Świętokrzyskie internationally while inspiring young people to become involved in dance sport.

The economic and tourism impact is also expected to be substantial, with hotels, restaurants and local businesses benefiting from the arrival of international delegations.

Waldemar Kęćko, President of the Świętokrzyski Jump Dance and Sport Dance Club, highlighted the enormous scale of the event, anticipating more than 20,000 spectators and thousands of accompanying visitors.

Anna Biały, Vice-President of the Jump club, emphasized that the championships are about much more than medals. They provide an opportunity for dancers from different cultures and backgrounds to connect, exchange experiences and build friendships through their shared passion.

KIELCE: A CITY READY TO WELCOME THE WORLD

Following the highly successful IDO championships hosted in Kielce in 2023, the city is once again preparing to demonstrate its capacity to deliver an international sporting event of the highest standard.

The 2026 edition promises to build upon that experience, bringing together world-class competition, professional organization and a vibrant atmosphere.

Kamil Borecki, Vice-President of the Polish Dance Association and member of the IDO Secretariat, expressed confidence that the upcoming championships would continue the high standards established in 2023.

Regional and municipal representatives also underlined the opportunity to introduce thousands of international visitors to the history, culture and tourist attractions of Kielce and the Świętokrzyskie region.

The championships will therefore serve not only as a platform for sporting excellence but also as a powerful opportunity for international cultural exchange and destination promotion.

IDO CONTINUES AN EXTRAORDINARY 2026

The Kielce championships represent another major highlight in an exceptional year for the International Dance Organization.

As IDO celebrates its anniversary year and continues to expand its international presence, the organization remains committed to creating world-class opportunities for dancers and strengthening the global recognition of dance sport.

Events of this magnitude demonstrate the extraordinary development of competitive dance, bringing together thousands of athletes under one international organization and celebrating the values of excellence, friendship, respect and unity.

The stage is ready. The dancers are arriving. The world is watching.

EIGHT DAYS. ONE CITY. ONE WORLD UNITED BY DANCE.

The IDO Hip Hop World Championships 2026 are organized by the International Dance Organization (IDO), the Polish Dance Association and the Świętokrzyski Jump Dance and Sport Dance Club.
