Strengthening Public Relations in Sport: IDO Hosts Successful Online Lecture for National Members and Organizers
The International Dance Organization (IDO) successfully conducted an online lecture on Public Relations in Sport (PPR) for its National Member Organizations and event organizers on 24th and 25th April 2025.
The lecture was led by Fiona Johnson and Trajche Petkovski, IDO Vice President for Marketing and Communications, and was based on the IDO Marketing, Media, and Communications Plan 2025. The session gathered 41 participants from across the IDO community, focusing on the importance of digital visibility, marketing strategies, content creation, branding consistency, and effective public relations in promoting dance events.
Throughout the two days, the participants actively engaged by asking questions, sharing their experiences from past campaigns, and discussing ways to strengthen event promotion. The discussions highlighted the growing need for high-quality digital marketing in the dance industry, with participants exchanging valuable insights and best practices.
The session emphasized the strategic planning of promotional activities before, during, and after events, with a strong focus on maintaining a consistent brand identity and enhancing social media presence through modern tools and approaches.
The IDO is proud to see such enthusiasm and commitment among its members, showing a clear step forward in elevating the promotional standards across all levels of organization. Follow-up activities and future workshops are already being planned to continue this important work.
