Productive Second Day Concludes IDO Annual General Assembly 2026 in Cyprus
The second day of the International Dance Organization (IDO) Annual General Assembly continued with an intensive program of meetings, strategic discussions and collaborative planning, bringing together delegates from around the world to shape the future of the organization.
The day opened with further sessions of the Annual General Assembly, where delegates continued reviewing reports, discussing governance matters and considering a broad range of proposals designed to strengthen the organization, improve operational standards and further modernize IDO procedures. Among the key topics were proposals concerning competition regulations, event organization, officials' education, scrutineering standards, governance, financial procedures and long-term strategic development.
Following the Assembly sessions, delegates participated in the Annual Continental Conference Meetings, with separate conferences held for Europe, Asia & Asia Pacific, and The Americas. These meetings provided an opportunity for each continent to discuss regional development, membership growth, upcoming championships, educational initiatives and future cooperation while sharing experiences and identifying common goals for the years ahead.
The afternoon concluded with the second IDO Members' Forum, where delegates continued exchanging ideas on several forward-looking initiatives that will influence the future direction of the organization. Open discussions focused on improving services for members, strengthening international cooperation, enhancing competition standards and supporting the continued growth of dance across all IDO departments.
Throughout the day, the atmosphere reflected the spirit of collaboration that defines the International Dance Organization. Delegates actively contributed their expertise, experiences and ideas, demonstrating the shared commitment of the global IDO family to innovation, transparency and continuous development.
With another successful day completed, the 2026 Annual General Assembly reaffirmed IDO's commitment to working together across continents to build an even stronger future for dancers, officials, organizers and National Member Organizations around the world.
