The International Dance Organization (IDO) proudly announced the recipients of two prestigious awards at the IDO European Disco Dance Championships, held in Chomutov. The IDO Award was bestowed upon Jeanette Lühr Olsen from Norway for her exceptional contributions as a trainer and choreographer, while the IDO Dance Award was presented to Vítek Lukavec from Czechia for his outstanding results in disco dance.

Jeanette Lühr Olsen stands as one of Norway's most distinguished and decorated choreographers in the performing arts over the past few decades. Her unparalleled talent has led to the creation and mentorship of numerous European and World Champions within the IDO. Known for her expertise in jazz, modern, and showdance disciplines, Olsen's work has garnered international acclaim, earning her invitations to instruct dancers worldwide. Beyond her contributions to the performing arts, she has been a pivotal figure in the disco dance community, inspiring dancers and choreographers globally with her passion, expertise, and unwavering commitment to excellence.

Vítek Lukavec has made a significant impact in the disco dance world as a solo dancer, claiming titles such as Adult Male World Champion in 2023, 2022, 2018, and 2016, as well as Adult Male European Champion in 2017. His versatility extends to competing in disco duos, groups, and formations, demonstrating his broad range of talent and dedication to the art form.

Both awards were presented by IDO President Prof. Dr. Velibor Srdic and IDO Executive Secretary Kirsten Dan Jensen, who expressed their admiration for the recipients' contributions to the dance community.
