Nancy Chippendale’s Dance Studios Celebrates 45th Season
NORTH ANDOVER, MA – This week, after a jam-packed nine months, Nancy Chippendale’s Dance Studios celebrates the culmination of its 45th season of dance. Complete with eight dress rehearsals, six shows featuring hundreds of dancers, alumni reunions and dancer milestones, the week symbolizes what Nancy Chippendale and her family have spent the past four and a half decades providing to their community: real dance AND real fun.
“I can hardly believe we’ve reached the 45 year mark, and I am filled with gratitude for how our studio community has evolved,” shared Nancy Chippendale, founder and faculty member. “From a one-room space to three thriving facilities that serve dancers from dozens of towns in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, my family and I have built something I could never have dreamt of 45 years ago.”
Nancy Chippendale’s Dance Studios prides itself on providing a safe, positive, and warm environment for dancers of all ages and abilities. With classes for ages 2-19, including a nationally recognized competitive program and a performance-based recreational program, the studio’s focus is on developing confidence, healthy habits and technique through the art of dance. Chippendale runs the studio alongside her husband, Bob Carberry, and her three daughters, Karen, Kelli and Krissy Carberry, with whom she also founded the American Tap Company.
“We’ve been fortunate to have thousands of dance families pass through our doors – not just the dancers, but their families too – and one of the most rewarding experiences has been seeing alumni now bring their children to us as well,” reflected Chippendale, whose faculty and staff is also largely comprised of alumni. “We recently asked alumni of all ages what lessons they took away from their years with us and they talked about leadership, dedication, responsibility, teamwork, being the best version of themselves, having grace… our awards and accolades are wonderful, but these are the lessons I’m most proud of.”
