KIELCE READY TO WELCOME 4,000 DANCERS FOR THE IDO WORLD HIP HOP CHAMPIONSHIPS 2026

The countdown is on! Kielce, Poland, is preparing to become the centre of the international street dance world as approximately 4,000 dancers from 34 countries come together for one of the biggest events on the International Dance Organization calendar – the IDO World Hip Hop, Popping, Hip Hop Battles & Breaking Championships 2026.

From 17 to 24 October 2026, Hala Legionów in Kielce will welcome dancers, coaches, officials, families and supporters from across the globe for eight extraordinary days of world-class competition, energy and international friendship.

The Championships will begin from 17–19 October with the IDO World Hip Hop Battles & Breaking Championships, bringing the unique atmosphere of head-to-head competition and some of the world's outstanding street dancers to the floor.

The excitement will continue from 20–24 October with the IDO World Hip Hop & Popping Championships, where dancers will compete across numerous age divisions and categories, from solos and duos to groups and formations.

With 4,000 dancers representing 34 countries, Kielce 2026 promises to be a true celebration of the global strength and diversity of the IDO street dance community.

Experienced International Official Team

An experienced international team of IDO officials will oversee the Championships.

The Chairpersons of Judges will be Kirsten Dan Jensen of Denmark and Irena Bous of Ukraine, while Thomas Püttmann Lentz of Germany will serve as IDO Supervisor.

The scrutineering team will be represented by Jolanta Dolinska and Lukasz Zurawski, both from Poland.

Together with an international panel of IDO adjudicators, the officials will ensure that the competition is conducted according to IDO rules and the professional standards expected from an IDO World Championship.

Kielce – Where the World of Hip Hop Meets

Kielce has become a familiar meeting point for the international IDO Hip Hop community, and in October the city will once again welcome dancers from around the world.

For eight days, Hala Legionów will be filled with music, battles, emotion, creativity and the unmistakable energy of thousands of dancers pursuing the ultimate goal – becoming an IDO World Champion.

Beyond the medals and titles, the Championships represent something even greater: dancers from 34 nations sharing one floor, exchanging cultures, creating friendships and celebrating the universal language of dance.

The scale of this year's event – approximately 4,000 dancers – once again demonstrates the extraordinary global development of Hip Hop and the strength of the IDO street dance movement.

The event is organised by the Polish Dance Union, bringing the international IDO family back to Poland for what promises to be another unforgettable World Championship.

Kielce is ready. Poland is ready. The dancers are ready.
