International Dance Organization Becomes Associate Member of FISpT, an IOC-Recognized Federation

The International Dance Organization (IDO) has officially received confirmation of its associate membership in the Fédération Internationale du Sport pour Tous (FISpT), an international sports federation recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

The confirmation was issued following the Extraordinary General Assembly of FISpT, held on January 24, 2026, in Civitanova Marche, Italy, where IDO was formally recognized as an Associate Member of the International Sport for All Federation.

FISpT is a global non-governmental organization dedicated to the promotion and development of Sport for All and physical activity as a fundamental right for every individual, without distinction of age, gender, physical condition, social status, ethnicity, religion, or any other personal condition. The federation promotes sport as a tool for health, well-being, social inclusion, education, cultural exchange, sustainable development, and mutual understanding among peoples

Recognized by the International Olympic Committee, FISpT operates as an international non-profit organization and represents a wide network of organizations committed to accessible sport and physical activity worldwide.

This associate membership marks an important step forward for IDO, strengthening its position within the international sports community and reinforcing its mission to promote dance as an inclusive, accessible, and globally recognized sport and cultural activity.
