International Christmas Dance Festival Mikolajki 2025 Opens Tomorrow

The town of Mikołajki is ready to welcome dancers from across the world as the International Christmas Dance Festival Mikolajki 2025 begins tomorrow, 11–14 December 2025. Organized by IDO Poland, the Polish Dance Federation, and Reliese Dance Academy, this IDO licensed event is set to deliver its largest edition to date.

This year, the festival brings together 1,350 dancers, presenting 1,570 performances, along with officials and coaches from 10 countries: Czechia, Germany, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia, Italy, Norway, Denmark, the USA, and Poland. More than 50 dance schools will take part in four full days of Christmas-themed competitions and activities.

A Unique Christmas Dance Experience

The festival has become a December tradition, known for its friendly atmosphere, strong organization, and a holiday concept that transforms the entire event into a winter dance village.

Participants will perform in charming Christmas costumes — elves, reindeer, Santa Clauses, snowflakes — in the following categories:

  • Christmas Disco Dance

  • Christmas Disco Slow

  • Christmas PAI solos

  • Christmas formations

The finals will include live music, giving the routines an even stronger impact. Around the main floor, dancers and families will enjoy the popular Christmas Village, offering activities, festive corners, and surprises throughout the event.

A highlight for the young dancers is the visit from St. Nicholas, who has prepared over 5,000 gifts.

A Growing Festival With International Reach

The 2025 edition continues to expand the festival’s international profile, with more participating countries, more schools, and a stronger presence within the IDO community. Its blend of holiday charm, competitive spirit, and large international turnout makes it one of the most recognizable winter dance events in Europe.

The organizers look forward to welcoming all dancers, families, and guests to Mikołajki starting tomorrow.
