IDO World Tap Dance Championships 2025 — An Incredible Start in Prague

The rhythm has officially begun! The IDO World Tap Dance Championships 2025 opened today at the UNYP Arena in Prague, welcoming more than 1,700 dancers from five continents. The atmosphere from the very first moments was electric — filled with excitement, energy, and outstanding performances from dancers of all ages.

The day started with the solo preliminary rounds, where tap dancers from around the world took the stage, showcasing precision, musicality, and their unmistakable individual style. The sound of hundreds of taps echoed through the arena, marking a powerful start to this year’s competition.
