IDO WORLD HIP HOP CHAMPIONSHIP 2024 WINS GRAND PRIX AT BEAM AWARDS

The International Dance Organization (IDO) proudly announces that the IDO World Hip Hop Championship 2024, held in Skopje, has received the prestigious Grand Prix award for Best Event of the Year at the BEAM Awards. This remarkable achievement highlights the championship’s outstanding impact, innovation, and excellence in event organization.

At a glamorous gala ceremony on March 4th at the Marriott Hotel in Skopje, the BEAM Awards honored the most distinguished events of the past year. The IDO World Hip Hop Championship 2024 triumphed in three major categories:

• Best Cultural Event – IDO World Hip Hop Championship 2024 (People Media)

• Best Sports Event – IDO World Hip Hop Championship 2024 (People Media)

• Grand Prix – Best Event of the Year – IDO World Hip Hop Championship 2024 (People Media)

This recognition is a significant milestone for IDO as an organization and a testament to the dedication of Trajce Petkovski, the event organizer and IDO Vice President for Marketing and Communications. The championship stood out among some of the most prestigious events in Macedonia, such as the 100 Years of Skopsko Beer celebration and the Wizz Air Skopje Marathon.

The BEAM Awards, the only awards of their kind in Macedonia, celebrate the best projects and creative achievements in the event industry. With a record number of high-quality submissions this year, the jury faced a tough challenge in selecting the winners. A 22-member jury, composed of esteemed personalities and experts from Macedonia, was responsible for evaluating and selecting the best events.

It showcases the power of dance as a unifying force and solidifies our event as a global benchmark in hip hop competitions. Competing against major events like the 100 Years of Skopsko and the Wizz Air Skopje Marathon, this recognition underscores the growing impact of dance culture on the international stage," said Trajce Petkovski, IDO Vice President for Marketing and Communications.

• Best Music Event – 100 Years of Skopsko (Publicis Group)

• Best Festival – LITERA – International Festival for Literature and Illustration for Children (Efektiva Marketing Agency)

• Best Conference – Science for Kids (Kantarot Foundation Skopje)

• Best Brand Activation – 100 Years of Skopsko (Publicis Group)

• Best Expo Event – Skopje Whiskey Fest (Bottega Eventi)

• Best Humanitarian Event – Ability Awards (Abilities Net)

• Best Event by a State Institution – International Regulatory Conference (Idea Plus 360° Communications)

"This year, we had a record number of high-quality entries, proving that BEAM is now a significant and influential award that recognizes and values the best events in Macedonia. We are proud to celebrate the success of these projects, and the jury had a challenging task in selecting the winners. BEAM will continue to grow, improve, and, starting next year, will expand to include events from the region," said Maja Babić, Director of BEAM Awards.

The BEAM Awards ceremony featured breathtaking performances, including a special showcase by the talented dancers from Break A Leg Dance Studio, alongside Mila Srbinoska, the World Champion in Juniors 1 Hip Hop. Their electrifying performance was one of the highlights of the evening, demonstrating the energy and artistry that define IDO competitions.

As IDO continues to push the boundaries of excellence in dance events worldwide, this recognition further cements its reputation as a leader in the international dance scene. The IDO World Hip Hop Championship 2024 in Skopje will be remembered not only for its competitive spirit but also for its cultural and artistic contributions on a global scale.
