IDO World Disco Dance Championships 2026 Begin in Örebro
The IDO World Disco Dance Championships 2026 are officially underway in Örebro, Sweden, bringing together more than 1,500 dancers from 18 countries for four exciting days of world-class competition.
From 12–15 September, Örebro becomes the international home of Disco Dance, welcoming dancers, coaches, officials and supporters from across the world.
Day One puts Disco Dance Solos in the spotlight, with competitions across Mini Kids – Dance Star, Children, Junior 1, Junior 2, Youth and Adults categories. The programme progresses from the opening rounds through to the first World Championship finals and prize-giving ceremonies.
One of the highlights of the opening day will be the Parade of Nations, bringing the participating delegations together in a celebration of international friendship and the global IDO dance family.
The championship is organized by SDO & Knut Säborg Dansstudio, led by Main Organizer Knut Säborg.
Serving as the leading IDO officials are Kirsten Dan Jensen (Denmark), Chairman of Judges; Zbigniew St. Zasada (Poland), Supervisor; and Carsten Eis Bang (Denmark), Scrutineer.
The competition has begun, the atmosphere is building, and Örebro is ready for four unforgettable days of Disco Dance.
