IDO World Championships and Cups in Osnabrück – Successful Event with Great Atmosphere and Organization
Osnabrück, Germany – From October 2 to 5, 2025, the Dance to the World Festival gathered over 1,200 dancers from 22 countries at the Schlosswallhalle in Osnabrück. The event included the IDO World Hip Hop & Popping Cups, the IDO World Inclusive Hip Hop, Popping & Breaking Cups, and the IDO World Street Dance Show Championships.
Each day, around 500 spectators filled the venue, supporting the dancers and enjoying an inspiring international program. A special moment came with the presentation of all participating nations, creating a strong sense of unity and friendship among the teams.
Guests of honor, including Katharina Pötter, Lord Mayoress of Osnabrück, and Michael Wendt, IDO Honorary President and TAF Germany President, attended the event. The mayoress expressed her joy in seeing the global participation and the positive energy dancers brought to the city.
In his feedback to IDO, Michael Wendt highlighted the excellent organization led by Carsten Rott and Dita Hejnikova, and the warm hospitality of the Hull family.
“It was a wonderful IDO event – great atmosphere, excellent organization, and a lot of care for the dancers,” Wendt wrote. “The Hull family made it special with their attention to detail. The prize-giving was full of smiles and fun, with Michael Hull himself dancing in a giant hare costume and celebrating with the dancers.”
The event was supported by a strong production setup, featuring LED wall squares with dynamic visuals of the IDO, TAF Germany, and Hull Dance & Events GmbH logos. The atmosphere remained positive and well-structured across all categories.
The inclusive competitions on Friday received special attention and appreciation from the audience, showing once again how dance can connect people of all backgrounds and abilities.
The organizers are very satisfied with the results and are already preparing for the fifth edition of the Dance to the World Festival in 2026, expected to bring even more participants and creative performances.
