IDO Tap Committee Meeting: Key Decisions and Updates for 2024

On February 27th, the IDO Tap Dance Committee held an online meeting, bringing together 20 delegates from 13 countries across three continents, including two representatives from the Dancers Commission.

A key highlight of the meeting was the unanimous re-election of Nancy Chippendale (USA) as the IDO Tap Dance Committee Chairperson, reaffirming her leadership and dedication to the development of tap dance within IDO.

The committee reflected on the success of the 2023 Tap Dance World Championships in Prague, recognizing its impact and the exceptional level of talent showcased. Discussions also focused on potential changes for the 2024 edition, aimed at further enhancing the experience for dancers, judges, and audiences.

The organizer of the Prague event provided important updates, including an earlier deadline for enrollments and several planned improvements to ensure an even smoother and more exciting competition this year.
