IDO Senior Vice President Fiona Johnson Elected to the TAFISA Board
The International Dance Organization (IDO) is proud to announce that its Senior Vice President, Fiona Johnson, has been elected to the Board of TAFISA – The Association For International Sport for All, as an International Member for the 2026–2029 term.
The election took place during the TAFISA General Assembly, held as part of the 29th TAFISA World Congress from May 13 to 17, 2026, in Prague, Czech Republic.
This appointment represents a significant international recognition of Fiona Johnson’s long-standing commitment to the development of dance and her contribution to promoting dance as an important part of the global Sport for All movement.
As Senior Vice President and Sport Director of IDO, Fiona Johnson has played a key role in the strategic development of the organization, strengthening relationships with international partners and supporting initiatives that connect dance with education, health, and social inclusion.
Her election to the TAFISA Board is both a personal achievement and an important milestone for the International Dance Organization, further reinforcing IDO’s position within the international sport community.
IDO President Prof. Dr. Velibor Srdić congratulated Fiona Johnson on her election:

During the General Assembly, Janez Sodržnik, MSc of Slovenia was elected President of TAFISA for the 2026–2029 term, succeeding Wolfgang Baumann.
The International Dance Organization was represented in Prague by Hana Svehlova, IDO Vice President and Chairperson of the Performing Arts Department.
Patrik Perosa, Advisor to the IDO President and member of the Vision 2032 Strategic Committee, was among the official speakers at the Congress.
Fiona Johnson’s appointment marks another important step in strengthening the connection between dance and the global Sport for All movement and opens new opportunities for collaboration and international development.
