IDO Presidium Meets in Paphos to Set the Course for the Future of the Organization
Paphos, Cyprus – June 27, 2026 – Following two highly successful days of the International Dance Organization's Annual General Assembly, the IDO Presidium convened today in Paphos, Cyprus, to continue its strategic work and address the key priorities that will shape the future of the organization.
Led by IDO President Prof. dr.sc. Velibor Srdić, the meeting brings together members of the IDO Presidium, Continental Chairpersons and advisors to review the outcomes of the Annual General Assembly and continue discussions on the implementation of important strategic initiatives adopted during the meetings.
The agenda includes an overview of the 2026 Annual General Assembly, progress reports on ongoing strategic projects, including the development of the IDO company, the organization's long-term Strategic Plan, international partnerships and educational initiatives, as well as preparations for future international events and collaborations. The Presidium is also reviewing the first half of the 2026 competition season, planning the 2027 IDO Competition Calendar, discussing educational programmes, statistical reports and defining the responsibilities of Presidium members for the months ahead.
The meeting represents the final stage of an intensive week in Paphos, during which delegates from around the world gathered to discuss the future of the International Dance Organization through the Annual General Assembly, Members' Forums, Continental Conferences and strategic partnership initiatives.
President Velibor Srdić emphasized that the work of the Presidium is essential in transforming the ideas and decisions from the Annual General Assembly into concrete actions.
"The Annual General Assembly provides the vision and direction from our members. The responsibility of the Presidium is to ensure those decisions become reality. Together we continue to strengthen IDO through good governance, innovation, education and international cooperation for the benefit of our entire dance family."
As the meetings will continue, the Presidium remains focused on delivering new opportunities for dancers, officials, organizers and National Member Organizations while continuing to build a stronger, more innovative and globally connected International Dance Organization.
