IDO Online Education Week Continues with Urban Dances Seminar by Kirsten Dan Jensen

September 11, 2025 – The International Dance Organization (IDO) continued its series of online education seminars with a specialized lecture on the Rules & Regulations for Urban Dances, led by Kirsten Dan Jensen.

The seminar drew 85 participants, including judges, trainers, and choreographers, who joined to strengthen their knowledge in the Urban Dances department.

Through clear explanations and practical examples supported by slides, Ms. Jensen provided insights on category structures, judging standards, costume rules, age divisions, and key updates specific to Hip Hop, Breaking, Battles, and other urban disciplines.

“Urban Dances carry a unique energy and culture. Understanding the rules ensures that the competitions stay fair while respecting the essence of the styles,” said Kirsten Dan Jensen.

The session is part of the IDO Online Education Week, bringing together leading experts to help officials and trainers worldwide stay aligned with the official IDO Dance Sport Regulations.
