IDO Launches Online Education Week with Seminar Led by Fiona Johnson

September 8, 2025 – The International Dance Organization (IDO) successfully launched its online education week with the first free-of-charge seminar for National Member Organizations (NMOs) and IDO officials.

The session was hosted by Fiona Johnson, Senior Vice President of IDO, and focused on the General Rules and Regulations from the IDO Dance Sport Regulations Book.

More than 147 participants joined the 2-hour lecture, which was filled with clarifications, explanations, and constructive discussions. The seminar provided valuable guidance on competition procedures, duties of officials, event organization standards, and overall regulatory framework.

“Clear understanding of the rules is the foundation of fair and transparent competitions,” said Fiona Johnson. “I am proud to see so many officials and members investing their time to strengthen the quality of our global organization.”

The event marks the opening of a week full of online educational sessions hosted by IDO, designed to support continuous learning and alignment across the global dance community.
