IDO Disco Dance and Tap Dance Championships Conclude with Record-Breaking Success, Setting the Stage for a Thrilling 2025

The International Dance Organization (IDO) proudly celebrated two unforgettable championships this past month with the IDO Disco Dance Championship in Germany and the IDO Tap Dance Championship in Czechia. Both events showcased a stellar commitment to dance excellence, drawing thousands of participants and setting the bar high for the upcoming 2025 season.

In Germany, the Disco Dance Championship lit up the scene with impressive participation numbers in Müllheim, affirming the country’s strength as a host for high-profile dance events. With seamless coordination and an enthusiastic audience, Germany has shown remarkable capacity as an organizer, creating an electric atmosphere that energized competitors and supporters alike.

Meanwhile, in Czechia, the Tap Dance Championship continued a tradition of exceptional organization, this time led by the Tap Dance Academy in Prague. Building on the standards set in Riesa under Michael Wendt’s leadership, this year’s championship was a resounding success, celebrating the art of tap with unmatched dedication and vibrancy. The event has proven to be an inspiration for tap dancers worldwide, solidifying its legacy and setting up the stage for another memorable season.

Both championships reflect the IDO’s commitment to fostering dance globally, with enthusiastic participation, high-quality judging, and outstanding performances from dancers of all ages and levels. The overwhelming success of these events provides momentum as IDO prepares for two more prestigious events in 2024: the World Show Dance Championship in Riesa , the Couple Dance Championships in Skopje , and the World Ballet, Jazz, Modern & Contemporary Championships in Kielce.

Looking ahead to 2025, the success of this year’s Disco and Tap Dance Championships serves as a foundation for growth, inspiring even greater anticipation and preparation across the IDO community.
