IDO Wraps Up 2024 with Unprecedented Success and Global Participation

The International Dance Organization (IDO) has concluded a remarkable 2024, hosting over 20 globally acclaimed competitions and festivals that brought together dancers and audiences from all corners of the world. From the dynamic hip-hop battles in Skopje, N.Macedonia, to the ballet, jazz , modern & contemporary in Poland, IDO events were a testament to the power of dance as a universal language.

Highlights of the Year:
Record IDO World Hip-Hop, Popping & Street Dance Show Championships (October, Skopje, North Macedonia):
Welcomed over 5,000 dancers and 15,000 guests at the Boris Trajkovski Sports Center.

Tap Dance World Championships (December, Prague, Czech Republic):
Hosted at the UNYP Arena, showcasing rhythmic mastery and technical brilliance.

IDO World Ballet Jazz, Modern and Contemporary Championships (December, Kielce , Poland).

IDO European Disco Dance Championships (June, Chomutov, Czech Republic):
Featured electrifying performances from top talent across Europe.

IDO European Ballet, Jazz, Modern & Contemporary Championships (September, Podčetrtek, Slovenia):
Brought together Europe’s finest dancers in a display of elegance and innovation.

Last IDO World Show Dance Championships in Riesa ,Germany.
The 2024 championship also marked the 25th anniversary of the event in Riesa, adding a layer of historical significance to the proceedings.

With each event, IDO reinforced its mission to unite diverse cultures through the art of dance, providing a platform for talent to shine and communities to connect.

“2024 was a year of milestones for IDO, as we witnessed the power of dance to inspire, unite, and transform,” Prof.Dr. Velibor Srdic , the president of the IDO.

Looking Forward:
As IDO gears up for 2025, its commitment to promoting dance globally remains unwavering. With a packed calendar of events already planned, IDO is set to build on the successes of 2024, ensuring even greater opportunities for dancers worldwide.
