IDO AND ALMA MATER EUROPAEA UNIVERSITY SIGN OFFICIAL COOPERATION AGREEMENT
The International Dance Organization (IDO) and Alma Mater Europaea University have officially signed a cooperation agreement, marking an important new step in the development of education and professional opportunities for the international dance community.
The agreement was signed by Barbara Toplak Perović, Director of Alma Mater Europaea – Dance Academy, and Fiona Johnson, IDO Senior Vice President, formalising the partnership between the two organisations.
The cooperation brings together IDO’s international experience and expertise in dance and dance sport with the academic and educational expertise of Alma Mater Europaea, creating a foundation for new opportunities in professional dance education.
A key objective of the partnership is to connect the extensive practical knowledge gained by dancers, teachers and coaches throughout their careers with structured academic education and recognised professional competencies.
The first major project developed through this cooperation is the Certified IDO Dance Coach Micro-Credential, an accredited educational programme created specifically for the international dance community.
Speaking about the cooperation, IDO Senior Vice President Fiona Johnson highlighted the importance of investing in education and creating opportunities for dance professionals to further develop their knowledge and qualifications.
The signing represents more than the beginning of one educational programme. It establishes a platform for long-term cooperation between IDO and Alma Mater Europaea University, with education, knowledge and professional development at its core.
Together, IDO and Alma Mater Europaea are building new bridges between dance experience and academic education.
