Hip Hop Committee Strengthens Event Planning and Focuses on Competition Experience

The International Dance Organization (IDO) Hip Hop Committee held its 2026 meeting, gathering delegates from 17 countries to review the past season and prepare for the upcoming competitions.

Chaired by Carsten Rott, the meeting addressed key aspects of event organization, drawing from experiences at major 2025 competitions in Sweden, Germany, and Slovenia. The committee acknowledged challenges encountered during the season and confirmed that steps have already been taken to improve future events through closer coordination with organizers.

Looking ahead, preparations for the 2026 season are well underway. The European Championships in Klagenfurt and the World Championships in Kielce will bring together multiple street disciplines, with early deadlines and detailed planning aimed at ensuring smooth execution.

Particular attention was given to practical aspects of the dancer experience, including scheduling, accommodation, and on-site conditions. The committee emphasized the importance of clear communication between organizers and national organizations to maintain high standards across all events.

With strong international participation and a clear commitment to improvement, the Hip Hop discipline continues to develop with a focus on quality, organization, and dancer satisfaction.
