Welcome to our exclusive interview with Gizem Cebi, the mastermind behind the IDO Licensed Event IDO All Styles Competition - KIDS ON THE MOVE - set to captivate audiences in Antalya, Turkiye from May 9th to May 13th, 2024. As an esteemed organizer with a passion for promoting talent and fostering a love for dance, Gizem Cebi brings a wealth of experience and dedication to the forefront of this IDO licensed event.

Dear Gizem, thank you for joining me today. Tell us a little about what to expect from the city where you are organizing the IDO competition.
In the amazing Antalya you will find accommodation in an ultra-luxury all-inclusive hotel with the best view of the sea, great and easy transfer from the airport, the best Turkish cuisine, access to many historical and natural touristic areas such as the world-famous Manavgat waterfall and the temple of Apollo. A wonderful holiday with sea, aqua park and pools. But let’s not forget Intensive Workshops in different dance styles from world-famous instructors in 5 different halls in the same hotel, Fun workshops for the parents., All style competitions, great prizes and fun concept dance parties with the best world-known DJ’s.

Can you share some background about you and your experience in IDO and IDO organizing competitions? How would you describe yourself in 5 words?
We have previously organised numerous national championships and international festivals but this is our first time organising an IDO competition and we are excited.
For myself, I would say I am disciplined, hardworking, visionary, cooperative, and determined.

What inspired you to become an organizer of the IDO competition, and how did you get started in this role?
The organization of the competition in Macedonia impressed us very much. We aimed to raise the level of dance and the quality of the competition in our country., the beautiful Turkiye.

For dancers interested in participating, can you give us some more information to help them prepare for and make the most of the competition experience? What to expect from your competition?
They can expect a competition where all styles are together, and the judges are dancers with great international success. All participants will be awarded medals and the winners will receive special prizes. In our competition, which will be held in a comfortable area, there will be both classical competitions and Battle competitions in all branches.

How do you handle logistical aspects, such as venue selection, scheduling, and participant registration, to ensure a smooth and successful event? We have great support from specialists in this field and advanced techniques so we got it covered.

What challenges do you typically face when organizing a competition, and how do you overcome them? We do not encounter problems when our organisation team makes correct and early programming.

What qualities do you believe are essential for a successful competition organizer?
You must have a vision, discipline, organisational power and have to be solution-oriented.

Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or challenging competition that you have organized in the past?
We successfully realise the Turkish national Hip Hop championship in 2 days with the participation of 2 thousand people. It was an amazing championship.

Please share with us your message to the IDO dance community.
We are so happy to be a part of this community. We always set out to make fair, equitable, disciplined and fun organisations.

Thank you so much Gizem and see you all soon in the historical, beautiful Antalya, Turkiye.
