Fiona Johnson Appointed Advisor for International Cooperation by the Korea International Dance Committee

Yeosu, September 2025 – The Korea International Dance Committee (KIDC) has officially appointed Ms. Fiona Johnson, Senior Vice President of the International Dance Organization (IDO), as Advisor for International Cooperation.

The appointment was announced at a meeting held in the registered office in Yeosu with KIDC President Cheol-moon Son, KIDC Chairman Doyun Seol, and Ms. Johnson. In recognition of her leadership and global engagement, Ms. Johnson also received a Plaque of Appreciation from KIDC.

In her new role, Ms. Johnson will provide expert advice and international networking support as KIDC prepares to host the IDO Asian Dance Championship in Yeosu in near future. With her extensive experience in cultural exchange and international cooperation across more than 90 countries, she will play a key role in strengthening Korea’s position in the global dance community and promoting Korean dance and K-dance worldwide.

The plaque of appreciation presented to Ms. Johnson acknowledges her outstanding guidance and innovative support during the establishment of KIDC and in the process of securing the 2026 Championship.

This appointment marks an important step in deepening the collaboration between KIDC and IDO, with shared goals of expanding opportunities for dancers in Asia and building strong international cultural connections.
