CIBS Presents PGS and IDO at Danzainfiera 2026 in Florence

From February 20th to 22nd, 2026, the Italian member organization of the International Dance Organization, CIBS – Comitato Italiano Ballo Sportivo, participated at Danzainfiera (DIF) in Florence with an official stand dedicated to presenting both the Italian and international dance sport movements.

Through this presence, CIBS introduced visitors to the national youth sports network PGS – Polisportive Giovanili Salesiane and to the global structure and activities of the International Dance Organization (IDO), highlighting opportunities for dancers, clubs, and organizations to engage with structured dance sport pathways at both national and international levels.

Danzainfiera, held annually at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence and organized by Pitti Immagine, is recognized as the largest international dance event in Italy and one of Europe’s most influential dance platforms. The event gathers professionals, schools, companies, brands, and thousands of dancers from across disciplines including classical ballet, contemporary, hip-hop, tango, and emerging styles.

Over three days, the event featured a comprehensive program of exhibitions, performances, workshops, auditions, competitions, and professional networking opportunities. With more than 80 exhibiting brands and over 400 scheduled activities, Danzainfiera represents a unique meeting point for the global dance community and an important gateway for young dancers pursuing professional careers.

The participation of CIBS at Danzainfiera 2026 provided valuable visibility for IDO within the Italian and international dance panorama, strengthening connections with institutions, educators, and dancers while promoting structured dance sport development and international cooperation.
