Austria Kicks Off a Spectacular Championship Week with Breaking & All Styles Battles

KLAGENFURT, AUSTRIA – The IDO European HipHop & Popping, All Styles Battles and Breaking Championships 2026 officially began today in Klagenfurt, Austria, with an exciting opening day dedicated to Breaking and All Styles Battles.

From the very first battles, the atmosphere inside the venue was electric as dancers, coaches, and supporters from across Europe gathered to celebrate the start of one of the continent’s most anticipated urban dance events. The audience witnessed outstanding performances, impressive skills, and incredible determination from the youngest competitors through to the adult divisions.

Day 1 featured the first medal decisions of the championship in the B-Girls categories, where Europe’s top breakers competed for the prestigious continental titles.

The first European Champions of the week were crowned in:
• B-Girls Children
• B-Girls Juniors 1
• B-Girls Juniors 2
• B-Girls Adults

The high level of competition demonstrated the continued growth and development of Breaking throughout Europe, with dancers showcasing creativity, athleticism, musicality, and passion on the battle floor.

The championship is organized by DCE Austria under the leadership of Klaus Hoellbacher and Mathias Kunauer, whose team has welcomed the European dance community to Klagenfurt for seven days of competition, culture, and unforgettable moments.

Over the coming days, the event will continue with HipHop, Popping, All Styles Battles, and Breaking categories, bringing together thousands of dancers from across the continent.

The International Dance Organization congratulates all Day 1 finalists and medalists and looks forward to another week of exceptional performances and international friendship through dance.

The official photo gallery of the championship is provided by Photo Studio Still, capturing the best moments from the competition floor and behind the scenes.
