Annual Department Meeting Highlights New Developments in Street Dance department

The annual meeting of the Street Dance Department was successfully held online, providing a platform for important discussions and strategic planning for the future of street dance. The meeting was moderated by Chairlady Kirsten Dan Jensen, who guided the attendees through a productive agenda focused on the implementation of new rules and systems in hip-hop and battles.

One of the key highlights of the meeting was the comprehensive discussion on the new regulations designed to allow more dancers to participate in hip-hop battles. These new rules aim to ensure that competitions remain inclusive and reflective of the evolving nature of street dance, providing more opportunities for dancers to showcase their talents.

In addition to rule changes, the meeting also focused on five major upcoming events:

- IDO European HipHop , Popping & Breaking Championships in Znin , Poland

- IDO European Disco Dance Championships in Chomutov, Czechia

- IDO World Breaking Championship & Hip Hop Cups in Magdeburg, Germany

- IDO World HipHop & Street Dance Show Championships in Skopje, Macedonia

- Disco Dance World Championships in Mülheim ,Germany.

These prestigious events are set to elevate the standard for both dancers and organizers within the International Dance Organization (IDO).

Chairlady Kirsten Dan Jensen expressed her confidence in the department's direction, stating, "These championships represent significant milestones in our calendar. They not only showcase the incredible talent within our community but also set a new benchmark for excellence in dance organization."

The delegates were unanimously satisfied with the department's progress over the past few years, acknowledging the hard work and dedication that have contributed to its current success. The positive feedback from the delegates underscored the department's effective management and innovative approach to the evolving dance landscape.

The meeting concluded on a high note, with a renewed sense of purpose and enthusiasm among all participants. As the Street Dance Department looks ahead to the upcoming championships and the continued implementation of new systems, the future of street dance within the IDO appears brighter than ever.
