A Memorable Week for the IDO Family in Medvode

The curtain has fallen on a memorable week of dance in Medvode, Slovenia, where the IDO European Show Dance Championships 2026 and the IDO World Street Dance Show Championships 2026 brought together the international dance community in a celebration of creativity, friendship and sporting excellence. Throughout the week, dancers from across Europe and around the world showcased remarkable talent, artistic expression and the values that define the International Dance Organization.

Over seven unforgettable days, Medvode became the meeting point for the international Show Dance and Street Dance Show community. Every competition session reflected a high standard of performance, professionalism and sportsmanship, while the Parade of the Nations, medal ceremonies and championship finals created lasting memories for athletes, coaches, officials and spectators alike.

The championships were characterized by outstanding performances across every age division and category, where technical excellence, creativity and storytelling came together on stage. Beyond the competition itself, the atmosphere throughout the week demonstrated the unity and diversity of the global dance family, bringing together participants from numerous countries who shared one common passion—dance.

The International Dance Organization extends its sincere gratitude to Plesna Zveza Slovenije for successfully organizing both championships. Special appreciation goes to Azra Pucko and Matijaž Pucko, whose commitment, professionalism and careful preparation ensured the smooth delivery of the events from beginning to end.

The championships were supported by a dedicated team of moderators, adjudicators, scrutineers, officials, volunteers and technical staff, whose teamwork and commitment contributed greatly to the success of the competitions and to providing an excellent experience for every participant.
