Ralf Josat from IDO Germany will be conducting an IDO Lecture, a project led by the IDO Adjudication and Education Departments.

Ralf will be conducting a lecture on Show Dance, given his vast experience in this field. Ralf began to do dance in the early 70’s after successfully releasing a record in order to enhance his singing performances on stage. He became captivated with dance and broadened his abilities in different styles such as Latin & Ballroom, Disco, Jazz, Modern and Show Dance to name a few.

Professionally, Ralf has worked as a choreographer, dance teacher, on TV, and more interestingly in the German edition of ‘So you think you can Dance’. Furthermore, he is also a professional moderator for Show Dance and other dance competitions throughout Europe. He successfully runs his own dance studio in the city of Limburg, Germany with numerous National, European and World champions from his dance school. The Show Formation ‘Ragazzi Limburg’ is certainly one of the most well-known.

Ralf has been involved in the IDO dance circles since 1993, when he adjudicated an IDO Championship in Basel, Switzerland. Since then, he has travelled the world for IDO competitions and events. He is the President of TAF Germany, an international adjudicator for IDO and Chairman of the IDO Show Dance Committee. In 2018, he was awarded the IDO Award for his outstanding contribution to the development of the IDO Performing Arts Department.

Ralf’s lecture will be conducted virtually via Zoom on Wednesday 27th January at 2.30pm CET. The seminar is free of charge with enrollments to be done via the IDO website and your national member organization. The IDO hopes that as many of our members will take part!
