The International Dance Organization is very proud to announce that IDO Vice President and Sports Director, Fiona Johnson Kocjancic was awarded a major award at the ‘La Notte Delle Stella Award’ gala event held in Rimini, Italy on Saturday 28th January 2019.

The award received by Mrs Kocjancic Johnson, is in recognition for her extraordinary and invaluable contribution offered to the development of dance sport in Italy and the whole World during her honourable career.

IDO Vice President Fiona Johnson Kocjancic said:

‘Receiving such a recognition is a great honour. The prize is an encouragement and proof that people do notice good work and appreciate my work that I am very passionate of.

I would like to thank Mr Ferrucio Galvagno, FIDS Presidnet Michelle Barbone, FIDS Senior Vice-President Edilio Pagano and Piercarlo Pilani for the great and very powerful statement they did at the event - DANCE JOINS - all people from all different organizations and great, quality dance will always speak to all. THANK YOU FROM MY HEART!’

The televised gala event saw great names in the world of dance and from various World Organizations, including the IDO, WDSF and WDC, as well as many great names within the Italian dance fraternity. IDO was represented at the Gala, by IDO Executive Secretary Kirsten Dan Jensen and IDO Vice President Fiona Johnson Kocjancic.

The event was organized by MIDAS, and Promodanza. The hosts of the evening were Sara Di Vaira, a big dance TV star (Dancing with the Stars Italy) and Mr. Ferrucio Galvagno, the organizer and founder of ‘La notte delle stelle’.
