IDO CONTEMPORARY LECTURE BY MITJA POPOVSKI- PRESS RELEASE 30/2021
Mitja Popovski from IDO Slovenia will be conducting an IDO Lecture, a project led by the IDO Adjudication and Education Departments.
Mitja will be conducting a lecture on Modern and Contemporary Dance. Mitja is very well known in our World Organization and is considered one of the best choreographers in the history of IDO. He was awarded the IDO Award in 2008 in recognition for his outstanding choreographies and contribution to the Organization. He is currently the chairman of the Modern and Contemporary Dance Committee.
Mitja began to dance seriously in the 70’s and 80’s. He is a dance coach of modern dance, tap and jazz, choreographer, national and international judge as well as a lecture at professional seminars both for IDO and Slovenia. Mitja is a guest teacher in IDO member dance schools both in Europe and around the globe. Professionally he is a director and choreographer of feature performances, miniatures and competitive choreographies for theatre, television, video, amongst others. He has won many awards and proud of every single title and everything he has achieved.
Mitja’s lecture will be conducted virtually via Zoom on Tuesday 23rd February 2021 at 1pm CET. The seminar is free of charge with enrollments to be done via the IDO website and your national member organization. The IDO hopes that as many of our members will take part!
