The new CMTO-presidium is at work

- The IDO wishes the best of luck
On December 16, 2007 the CMTO-AGM elected a new presidium and due to many open questions in the country, the IDO expresses here that she acknowledges this AGM of the CMTO as legal and accepts the officers elected.

Therefore the IDO president Bill Fowler - on behalf of the IDO - sends his best regards and congratulation to the new president, who is very well known in the IDO world and an excellent dance colleague, Mr. Jiri Hubeny from Prostejov.

Mr. Jiri Buron from Ostrava has been elected as IDO representative from the CMTO. He will be serving from now on and is also an excellent dance expert and very much welcome in the IDO world of dance.

During a meeting between the IDO and the representatives of Czech dancers" in Prague on February 3, 2008 the IDO accepted the CMTO's wish to organize the dance sport structure - which includes all competitions, ranking, judges etc. in Czech Republic and the IDO-enrollments for international competitions - by the newly established CDO (Czech Dance Organization).

This means for our dance friends in the Czech Republic, that from now on all qualified dancers in the Czech Republic will be enrolled to IDO events by the CDO without any exceptions.

The IDO-licenses - off course - stay as valid as before - as the amount of points for the country ranking will stay unchanged - actually nothing will be changed regarding the IDO - ONLY the daily dance sport business will be done by the CDO appointed by the CMTO.
The IDO wishes the CMTO / CDO the best of luck and success!
