New Venture - Andrej Kokoulin

- Presidium changes

THE PRESIDIUM WELCOMES ITS NEWEST MEMBER, VICE PRESIDENT ANDREJ KOKOULIN

Although Andrej is a new face on the Presidium, representing New Ventures, he is very well know throughout the IDO membership as the organizer of one of the largest multi-disciplined dance competition and championships in the world, THE DANCE OLYMPIAD, which is held the beginning of May each year, in Moscow.

Andrej (47) has studied at the University of Physical and Nuclear Energetic before he changed his career towards physical culture and sports. He then worked as teacher at the Dance Sport Club CSKA Moscow where he also became president. He has taught also at the university, publishes the magazine "World Dance", organized huge events and is a IDO and IDSF licensed judge. For some years he has already been the President of the All Russian Dance Organization (ARDO). As our present Soviet Union Area Representative, is responsible for bringing in many new nations to the IDO, most recently, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Andrej is father of two children and lives in Moscow, Russia.

We wish Andrej the best of luck with his "new venture."

The Presidium would also like to extend a very warm "Thank You" to its retiring New Ventures Vice President, Marco Bjurström, for his valuable contribution to IDO the past three years. Although he is retiring from his Vice Presidential position, he will remain as head of the "Jazz Sub-committee." We also wish him good fortune in all of his "ventures" in the future.
