10 Years IDO Showdance Championships in Riesa

- 26 countries patricipated at the the prestigious IDO World Showdance Championship
The Polish Formation KORNELE RESZOW danced a pirates-ship in the oceans waves - most beautifully and creatively performed - 2nd place and runner up
2.300 dancers from all over the world competed in the official IDO WorldShowdance Championships 2006 and turned Riesa and the Saxonian region into the World Dancesport Capital for 5 consecutive days: Bosnia & Herzegowina Bulgaria Denmark Estonia Finland France Gibraltar Italy Japan Canada Croatia Latvia Lebanon Norway Poland Romania Russia Serbia & Montenegro Slovak Republic Slovenia South Africa Czech Republic Hungary USA Belarus Germany It started at 8:00 am in the morning end ended mostly around 11:00 pm at night. Dancers of all all age groups - children, juniors and adults - competed in the five categories, solo female - solo male - duos - small groups (3-7) - formations (7-24), to reach their exciting finals. 20 qualified expert judges from 14 countries marked and placed the best of the best IDO showdancers to become stars. RAGAZZI from Germany presented a true CIRQUE DE PARIS with performences of jugglers, horse riding school, clowns and acrobats - all performed by dance, surprise and costumes - third place
Nicholas Dawson and Terese Mallen (South Africa) showed a breathtaking mixture of thrilling acrobatic and excellent dance - World Champions Duos - Nick also won the solo male division
The Canadian National Showdance Team performed OUT BREAK: brilliant and perfect dancing
