13. Riesa Dancefestival 2009 - the IDO World Showdance Championships

The IDO World Showdance Championships from November 23 to November 29, 2009 have been a marvellous and great success: more than 2.600 dancers from 30 IDO dance countries competet in the famous erdgas arena in Riesa, Germany for 6 consecutive days for the ultimate gold or the own success. The level of dance was even higher than last year. More than 11.000 spectators follwed the competion in the hall and more than 200.000 by livestream all over the world. The ultimate finals on Saturday evening - a truely excited and glamorous athmosphere - was witnessed by 3.300 spectators.
The dancers came from Belarus, Bosnia & Herzegowina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Gibraltar, Italy, Japan, Hungary, Latvia, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, South Africa, Switzerland, Ucraine, USA, and Germany.
