To all street dancers coming to Koper

To all the street dancers coming to Koper,

I would like to warmly welcome all dancers and dance enthusiasts to Koper, which has on various occasions in the past hosted many international championships and will now for the first time gladly open the city doors for the IDO European Championship in Hip Hop, Electric Boogie and Break-dance.
High figures – 2500 enrolled participants from 26 countries– are not the only thing making this championship interesting. Hip Hop, Electric Boogie and Break-dance disciplines are among the most popular dances in the world. Given the fact that Koper is becoming more beautiful and modern with each passing day and that more and more young people can identify with its image, I am convinced this event will contribute to fresh energy that will bring new life into the city, making it even richer.

I hope all of you will feel good in our city and that you will have the opportunity to see many of its cultural and historic beauties that one should not miss seeing. And I wish that all spectators would indulge in excellent young dancers, and their performances in this beautiful discipline that joins sport and art.
