Bochum Disco

The RuhrCongress Bochum hosted the IDO Disco Dance World Cup and IDO European Championships Streetdance Show from 19 to 21 September 2008. Bochum is the center of the German coal mine area and therefore the center of Power and Energy. With the IDO competitions Bochum showed an absolutely different kind of Power and Energy. 1.700 dancers from 12 nations competed in the World Cup and the European Championships. Poland was the absolute winner in gold medals and Slovak Republic won the most medals.

Slovenia: 0  1  0

Finland, Italy and Serbia took also part in the competition but did not won a medal - this time.

These very successful IDO competitions were organized by the great team of the dance sports club TTC Rot-weiss-Silber Bochum e.V. supported by the TAF (The Actiondance Federation of Germany). Sven Bioly, Thomas Püttmann and Ralf Josat - the moderators - did a fantastic job in heating the crowd up and entertaining the audience. Behind the scenes Kirsten Dan Jensen, Chairlady of Judges, and Michael Wendt, Supervisor, ensured the smooth running of the event according to the IDO guidelines.
